Sacred Geometry

The metaphysical notion that shapes and proportions carry symbolic or spiritual meaning of great import - and, in fact, constitute the primal structure of the universe.. Examples include the spiral forms of shells, galaxies, and NDA, the golden ratio, and the use of precise geometry in monuments like the Egyptian pyramids and Gothic cathedrals. Central to sacred geometric lore is Metatron’s Cube, a diagram made of thirteen interconnected circles with lines that reveal the five Platonic solids—tetrahedron, cube, octahedron, dodecahedron, and icosahedron. Because these solids are considered by many to the basic building blocks of three-dimensional space, Metatron’s Cube is often described as containing all possible shapes in nature and, thus, a kind of map of creation, symbolizing the hidden structure of the universe. Gnostics and pagans alike have long attributed power to the symbol, at times creating three-dimensional models for prayer and evocation.
