A Congolese-American professional basketball player known for his dominant defense, humanitarian work, and signature shot block finger wag. Mutumbo initially came to the United States to attend Georgetown University as a medical student, but was recruited as a basketball walk-on due to his 7'3" height and almost eight foot wingspan. As a result of incomplete Congolese birth records, he was rumoured to have been nearly 30-years-old upon being drafted in 1991 by the Denver Nuggets of the National Basketball Association.
