Lindisfarne Gospels
[related: Tetramorphs]
An illuminated codex of startling detail and artistry.[1] Dating from around 700 AD, the Lindisfarne Gospels are considered by most religious scholars to be mildly apocryphal within Christian scripture, mostly due to the authors inclusion of pagan entities like dwarfs, daemons, and wights and numerous tetramorphs depicting the human Christ manifest as various evangelists.
