Anton Webern AKA Anton Friedrich Wilhelm von Webern
[Dec. 3, 1883 - Sep. 15, 1945]
Father of total serialism, a musical system in which each and every variable is determined by schematic variation via complex systems of matrices, associated with fellow composers Alban Berg and Karlheinz Stockhausen. His death occurred at the hands of US Army cook PFC Raymund Norwood Bell from the Piedmont region of North Carolina, who mistakenly shot Webern as he smoked a ceremonial cigar outside the place of his lodging.
