"Father of television realism" despite having never been released for public viewing [1]. The show, based on the Hawaiian island of [redacted], was purported to feature at times inaudible dialogue, lengthy scenes of quotidian activity (urination, food consumption, et al), and a remarkable lack of artifice in the form of hairstyling, make-up, and set design.
