Founding member of the computer hacker collective Damaged Cybernetics (DMC), a group specializing in "grey area" activities like cartridge dumping, console emulation, and CD-ripping. The DMC's central creed was Freedom of Information at All Costs (FIAC), a stance that led to conflict within the hacking community.[1] In the mid-1990's, MindRape used a security vulnerability to access the networked drive of Icer Addis, founder of Bloodlust Software and the creator of NESticle, an illegal emulator of the Nintendo Entertainment System. MindRape subsequently stole NESticle's source code and released it on an IRC channel, causing a significant rift in the hacking community and leading to the unceremonious disbanding of Damaged Cybernetics.
