Sci-fi horror film from 1979 directed by Ridley Scott prior to his work on Blade Runner. Alien centers on an acid-blooded, face-fucking double-mouthed extraterrestrial species designed by the spooky Swiss recluse H.R. Giger [1] The film's critically-lauded 1986 sequel--simply, Aliens--was directed by the adventurous auteur James Cameron [2].
